Your Questions Answered

*There are limitations to this technology.  Dermoscopy cannot evaluate deep lesions such as lymphoma or lesions below the top layers of the skin, such as cysts, lipomas, sarcomas) We will also not be evaluating nail bed lesions.  You understand that you will be given a recommendation regarding your lesion being evaluated by dermoscopic photo.

**Examination of the skin with the naked eye (also termed GROSS EXAMINATION) OR with a magnifying tool such as a dermascope allows a medical professional to render a PRELIMINARY diagnosis along with a list, not necessarily a complete list, of POSSIBLE diagnoses. This information here is not a substitute for an actual biopsy (TISSUE PATHOLOGY) where your skin would be examined under a microscope to give you the most accurate diagnosis. This is not a pathology report but rather an assessment of the likely risk of a given lesion at a given point in time.  You should not rely solely on this information for your care.*
